The Old Mutual go2berg is a rewarding journey through the heart of South Africa on farm roads and mountain bike trails! It is the ultimate “off-road” show of this great country. We pride ourselves on being one of the best value long stage rides in the world.

You can enter as a team of 2 or a solo rider. You will be timed for racing purposes as a solo rider.

Payment plans: If you are feeling the pinch cash flow wise you can use our payment plan or contact jani@go2berg.co.za about securing your entry with a 25% deposit.

1. Tented accommodation – 6 nights (no hotel/guesthouse accommodation in Clarens)

• Solo – One tent per person, comfie mattress
• Sharing – Two people per tent
• Includes accommodation sharing or solo in the Drakensberg on the last night with final dinner and breakfast.

2. Tented Accommodation – 5 nights + hotel/guesthouse accommodation in Clarens

• Solo One tent per person, comfie mattress
• Sharing two people per tent
• Includes accommodation sharing or solo in the Drakensberg on the last night with final dinner and breakfast.
• Includes accommodation in Clarens

3. Upgraded Tents – 5 nights + 1 night hotel accommodation in Clarens (sold out) 

• We may release more – email jani@go2berg.co.za to go on wait list for this option
• Superb Canvas tents with stretcher beds, comfie mattress and fresh linen
• Includes hotel/guest house accommodation sharing or solo in tourist town of Clarens
• Includes accommodation in the Drakensberg on the last night with final banquet and breakfast.

5. Camper van / motorhome – This is for riders hiring a camper van or bringing their own

5 nights in camper van village (no hotel accommodation in Clarens, includes accommodation last night)

• No tent included
• Includes hotel/guest house accommodation in the Drakensberg on the last night
• Includes supplement for supporter or driver we can supply.
• Does not include camper van hire

E bikes are welcomed and encouraged subject to some cool guidelines. We do not have a racing categories for E bikes and we encourage riders to enjoy the journey

What you get for your entry!!!

• Five world class race villages (including the night of Day 0) with tented accommodation hosted by passionate schools and communities
• Three awesome meals a day (including Day 0 lunch and dinner), plus snacks in between at some of the finest race villages you will ever experience hosted by local communities – including some of the finest mouth-watering feasts (please let us know if you have a special dietary requirement – we will try to accommodate you)
• Access to all the race facilities i.e. hot proper showers, bike wash facility, and chill zones
• Extensive medical support – we will provide you with extensive medical support, but you must have the right insurance cover, and you must carry the necessary documents with you
• Full logistical support from The Courier Guy who will transport your bag from race village to race village

• Any shuttles you may need to and from airports
• Does not include any flights to and from the event
• Does not include any insurance or medical aid
• Does not include shuttle to the start in Frankfort or from finish
• Does not include massages and bike mechanic service (see the Extras section for more information)
• Does not include drinks from our race village bars (all profits go to schools)
• Camper Van Package does not include camper van hire
