MAKING THE OLD MUTUAL GO2BERG SUPPORTER FRIENDLY
We may be able to accommodate your supporter if space permits. These supporters can either share accommodation (tent/guesthouse/hotel) or they may stay off-site.
- In all cases supporters will need their own transport.
- Only supporters who share with a partner who is riding will be accommodated in the race village. So, this means one supporter per rider. Unfortunately, no kids under 18 will be allowed.
- Supporters will not be allowed drive on the rider route at any time – they will be able to see riders at various organised points.
Supporter Package
Staying in the village with a rider- The Old Mutual go2berg is a very supporter friendly event – if you would like to bring a partner with for the journey and you want to share your tent, hotel/guest house in Clarens and last night accommodation dinner and breakfast we have wonderful supporter package price that includes meals, showers.
Camper Van Option
- As a rider you can hire a camper van or a vehicle with a roof top tent or you could bring your own if you have one. Hiring will be for your own cost and management.
- You can get one of our massage crew to drive your camper van/motorhome for you, for a nominal fee, or you could bring a supporter with you.
- All supporters MUST book a supporter van package, which includes a supporter package, and allows access to the race village and its facilities as well as 3 meals a day. This package does not include your actual camper van – you need to hire this from a private company.
B&B Option
- Supporters have the option of booking into B&B’s along the route. There is a full list of accommodation options to choose from. We suggest you book early as space is limited in some towns. In addition, supporters can book a The “off-site” Supporter’s package which allows access to the race village and its facilities as well as 3 meals a day.
